Downsizing a home.

It's been over a year since Chris and I have decided to actually jump on our dream of moving from a stick n' brick home to an RV so that we can live a spontaneous life on the road. What has been a thought for many years, we are now turning into a reality. In this past year, we have held one garage sale and sold numerous things on craigslist and yet we still have so much work to do. We have also donated a ton of items as well as given some to family and friends.

Looking at our house now, I can tell items are trickling out ever so slowly which is making a difference in the amount of things we have. The kids room has had the most drastic change in that we have already gotten rid of two dressers, a kids kitchen, an organization bin, several little tykes doll items, clothes, stuffed animals and totes of odd toys. It really is one of those things, "out of sight, out of mind". The kids haven't even noticed what has gone "missing" and I don't even remember some of the things we have gotten rid of. That right there shows you just how little they and we need to be happy.

The next few months are going to be a whirlwind of tossing, giving, donating and selling as we hope to have our new "home" soon. The weather will be beginning to warm up and our itch of wanting to travel will only get stronger with each passing day. Each and everyone of us is ready for this change. We know it won't be all rainbows and ponies but then again, nothing ever is. No matter where you live or what you do, there will always be pros and cons. That's just a fact of life.

"Not everyone will understand your journey. That's fine. It's not their journey
to make sense of. It's yours."

Waiting on our home...

Some people have asked if we have found our "new home" yet and the answer to that is, no. Above everything else we have had to learn to be patient and to just wait. Waiting is super hard, especially when you are wanting something really bad and you have waited for over a year. We have planned, we have researched, we have met with dealers, and we have been trying to be super patient in this process. The time is getting closer and we do feel that and know it. Our choices have narrowed wayyyy down but we are still open to many possiblities. Our doors are not closed completely and we believe the Lord will let us know when the right "home" has been put infront of us. When the time comes, we will definitley share it with you all! For now, we will continue to live each day in this house by creating great memories and doing fun things. Here are a few images from what we have been up to. Happy Thursday~
